Signing In for the First Time

There are three ways into Allstar. This is which one you have, and what to do when none of them work.

The short version

  1. 1If you got an invite email, open its link and choose a password. It only works once, and only for seven days.
  2. 2If nobody has invited you, tap "New here? Create an account" and type your company's 8-character code.
  3. 3If you already have a password, just use the email and password fields.
  4. 4Forgotten it? Your own admin sends you a new link — there is no "forgot password" on this screen, on purpose.

There are three ways in, and which one you use depends entirely on how you arrived. Find yourself below.

1. You got an invite email

This is the usual way. Somebody in your office added you, and the app emailed you a link.

  1. Open the link from the email, on the phone you'll be using

It opens a page with your name and your company on it, and one box: the password you want. Nobody at your company ever sees it — not even the person who invited you.

  2. Choose a password of at least ten characters

Ten is the floor, and the page will say so if you go under. Tap Show if you want to see what you’re typing.

  3. Then open Allstar and sign in with that email and password

Setup starts the moment you’re in — five short screens. See Setting Up Your Account.

If you open the link and it says this account already has a password, that means somebody has already set one up for this email — most likely you, another way. Close the page and sign in normally.

2. Nobody has invited you yet

Happens all the time: you heard about the app, you found it, and you’re staring at a sign-in screen for an account you don’t have. Your manager has an 8-character company code that fixes it.

  1. Tap “New here? Create an account”

It’s under the Sign in button.

  2. Type the company code

Eight characters, letters and numbers, something like ABCD2345. Case doesn’t matter — the box makes it capitals as you type. Ask your manager for it; it’s the same code for everybody in your company.

  3. Add your name, your email and a password

First and last name are optional here, but fill them in — they’re what gets printed on your badge, and you’ll be asked for them a minute later anyway. Password is at least ten characters again.

  4. Tap Create account

    You’re in, and setup starts.

Sometimes a manager sends a link with the code already in it rather than the code on its own. Open that and this panel is waiting for you with the code already filled in. Same thing, fewer taps.

3. You already have a password

Email in the top box, password in the second, Sign in. If you can’t tell whether you typed the password right, tap Show on the right of the box.

When it won’t let you in

The message on screen tells you which problem you have. They mean quite different things.

What it says What’s actually wrong
Incorrect email or password One of the two is wrong, and it won’t tell you which. That’s on purpose — saying “the email is right” would help somebody guessing at other people’s accounts.
You’re offline. Sign in needs a connection Signing in is the one thing that genuinely needs signal. Everything after you’re in works in a dead zone.
Couldn’t reach the server. Try again in a moment You have signal; the server didn’t answer. Usually worth exactly one more try.
Enter your email and password One of the boxes is empty.

And two situations the messages won’t cover:

You were signed out on your own. You’ll see a yellow note saying so at the top. Nothing is lost — anything you recorded is still on the phone and uploads as soon as you’re back in. Sign in and carry on.

You’re in another app’s browser. If you opened a link from a text message or a social app, you may be inside that app’s browser rather than Safari or Chrome. A yellow bar at the top says which. Sign-in works fine there, but the camera and your location won’t — so it’s worth getting out before you start your day. On iPhone, tap the or share icon and choose Open in Safari.

I’ve forgotten my password

There is no “forgot password” link on the sign-in screen, and that is a deliberate decision rather than an omission. Instead:

  1. Ask your own admin or manager

They open your name in their console and send you a reset link. It’s two taps for them and it’s immediate.

  2. Open the link and choose a new password

Same page as an invite. This link lasts two days.

Just want a look around?

Try the demo at the bottom of the sign-in screen. Sample data, no account, no connection needed — and nothing you do in there touches anybody’s real leads. Pick whichever role you want to see it as.

Still need help?

Your own admin can reset a password, re-send an invite and assign you leads — that is faster than us for most things.
